Congratulations to senior, Gabbi Bonadies, for being selected as this week's Razor of the Week. Gabbi was nominated by her Teacher Cadet teacher, Dr. Angela Rogers. Dr. Rogers said, "She’s been a consistently positive student in Teacher Cadets, embracing all assignments as an opportunity to learn and grow. She encourages her peers and is always bringing smiles to those around her. In addition to all of this, she was a super star at the iTeach Conference at SWU on Friday, standing out for her commitment to becoming a teacher! "

Attendance laws and seat time requirements are set by the state South Carolina and the School District of Oconee County.

Only 5 absences OF ANY KIND are allowed in a semester course. Even excused absences are considered time out of class and that time must be made up accordingly. At WHS, we offer morning make-up and afternoon sessions, not as a punishment, but as an OPPORTUNITY to earn back the seat time missed and to ensure you will be awarded credit for your classes.

Start dates will begin in September and will be announced in the weekly and monthly newsletters.

WHS had our first weapons detection search last week. Thanks to everyone for their patience, cooperation, and teamwork to help things run as smoothly as possible. 

We will begin utilizing our weapons detectors approximately once per week. We will not announce the days ahead of time and may choose to use them at all entrances or run them at only driver or rider entrances. Please watch the video below and see the flyer for things you can do to ensure we are moving students through as quickly as possible.

This form is for all the optional testing open to WHS students for the 2025-2026 school year.

It is important that you sign up for the test that you want to take or may even THINK you want to take. These tests are free to you, and if you choose to take them outside of the testing date at school, it may end up costing you $$$. Any test you sign up for on a school day is an excused absence from classes here at WHS, HCTC, OR TCTC.

Only certain tests are open to certain grades. So please select the CORRECT grade you are in to see the test available to you. Mrs. McAnally discussed these test options with you during the class meetings during FLEX at the beginning of the year.

Fall sports season is here!!!!

Click this link to complete the form to get your Booster Club membership, your student all-sports passes, your adult all-sports passes, and/or football season tickets!

Submit this application to receive a reusable library pass for admittance to the library in the mornings (8:00-8:35 am) and/or during your lunch. The teacher on duty should not allow you to pass through the doors from the cafeteria/commons area during these times without a pass. Use only the upstairs hallway and stairs from the cafeteria/commons.

You can always get a Securly hall pass from a teacher if you just need to go to the library occasionally during these times. This pass is for the students who plan to go to the library most/all mornings and/or most/all lunches.

PLEASE DO NOT drop students off or pick them up in the main parking lot or in the student parking lot. Remember to pull ALL THE WAY up to the purple line or the car in front of you. Do your part to help our dismissal run efficiently.
