Senior/Graduation Reminders (READ CAREFULLY!!!)
Posted Date: 05/18/26 (11:28 AM)
It’s hard to believe that next week at this time you will already be a graduate of Walhalla High School!
Please read the following information carefully:
- We, along with the SDOC Leadership Team, are monitoring the weather very closely. We will keep you updated as the week progresses. Pray, cross your fingers, and do whatever else you can for good weather!!!!
- Be sure your robe is hung up (not wadded up), to allow time for the wrinkles to fall out. You can hang it in the bathroom while you shower or use a steamer. Do not iron!
-
Graduation practice is Friday morning at 8am. DO NOT BE LATE!!!!!
- We will take the class picture first, so come dressed in your cap and gown (but you do not have to wear your graduation clothes/shoes. Regular clothes and shoes are fine). Once we finish the picture, you can take your cap and gown back to your car and we will start practice. Be on time!!!!
- We will run through practice as quickly as possible, but it all depends on you guys. Be respectful of others and their time. Our goal is to be finished by 10.... but we will finish when we finish!
- If you have a name that is commonly pronounced wrong or hard to pronounce, please see Mr. Morris this week or at practice to be sure he is pronouncing it correctly.
- Graduation is Saturday morning. You need to be in line, dressed in your graduation clothes and your cap and gown at 7:30. BE ON TIME!!! We want this day to be perfect for you and your families, so please do everything you can to help it run smoothly.
- No decorating of caps.
- No personal cords or stoles. If you show up wearing something non-school issued, we will ask you to remove it and keep it for you until after the ceremony.
- Please remember the dress code (see below). If you need any of these items, reach out to Mrs. Harvey, or Mr. Resendiz ASAP. We will have clothing and shoes available for those who choose to show up out of compliance (but that can be very stressful for all involved, so please dress accordingly!!). If you are unsure about your attire or shoes, see me or send me a picture.
